I made this interview video as a junior at Lincoln Lutheran. This was my third project for my video editing class. For my interview I choose to speak with my mom, Lynné Bergt. She is an Ultrasound Synographer which she talks about in the video. I wanted to keep my video simple in terms of leaving it pretty raw and natural. For this reason, I didn’t add any background music or use many transitions and effects. I wanted the focus to be on my mom and what she was saying rather than anything else that might be happening.
I am probably proudest of cutting out pauses and “umms.” I tried to make these as smooth as possible. I also am proud of the setup of my main camera. I do not like my second camera angle. It did not have the best angle or quality. I found a lot of challenges with my laptop. I did not have the storage space to fully upload and enter all the contact that I would have wished. I am missing some of my second camera angle shots.
If I would do the project over again i would probably spend more time editing. I had laptop issues which didn’t allow me to use as much class time to edit my video as much as I would have liked to. It also would have been nice to get a better second camera angle. Overall, I would have liked to put more time into the editing.
