Line Art Project

For our line art project, we were instructed to start by making a small sketch. We needed a variety of different lines and shapes that show overlapping and underlapping. Once we got that sketch done we made copies of it. Then we flipped and mirrored it so that we could trace it onto one large sheet of paper. After we had our design complete on our final sheets, it was time to pick our color scheme. We could have three colors plus black and white. I chose to do purple, green, and yellow. I practiced these colors in different ares and different value. I had to cut parts out and lay it on top of others until I finally found one I liked. Then it was time to start coloring on the final. This is what it looks like after the tracing and coloring on the final. I enjoyed getting to see the process step by step. It was a fun assignment to do and I like the way it came out.
